Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
DraftHoops ("we", "us") is an independent, fan-made basketball drafting game. This page explains what information we collect when you use it, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to drafthoops.com and nbadraftbattle.web.app (the same site).
Information we collect
- Account information. If you sign in (via Google or email/password, through Firebase Authentication), we store your email address and the username you choose.
- Gameplay data. The teams you draft, game and series results, Elo ratings, saved Hall of Fame teams, and anything you submit through the in-app bug/suggestion form.
- Usage data. We use Google/Firebase Analytics to see how the game is used — things like which screens are visited, session length, and device/browser type — so we can find bugs and improve the game. This is aggregate usage data, not precise location.
- Cookies and similar technology. Used to keep you signed in, to power analytics, and — once introduced — to serve and measure ads (see "Advertising" below).
How we use it
- To run the game itself: authentication, saving your drafts and teams, matchmaking, leaderboards.
- To understand usage and improve DraftHoops.
- To send you updates about DraftHoops, only if you've opted in to receive them.
- To show and measure advertising (see below), which helps fund the project.
Advertising
DraftHoops may show ads served by Google AdSense and similar advertising partners. These partners may use cookies or similar technology to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites, and to measure ad performance. If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, you'll be asked for consent before any personalized advertising cookies are set.
You can see and adjust how Google personalizes ads at adssettings.google.com, learn more about Google's use of advertising cookies at policies.google.com/technologies/ads, or opt out of interest-based ads industry-wide at aboutads.info/choices.
Sharing
We don't sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that run DraftHoops — currently Google/Firebase (hosting, authentication, database, analytics) and, once introduced, Google AdSense (advertising) — solely to provide and improve the game.
Your choices
- Delete your account. Email us (below) and we'll delete your account and associated data.
- Ad personalization. Use the Google links above to control personalized advertising.
Children's privacy
DraftHoops is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the game evolves (for example, when advertising goes live). We'll update the date at the top when we do.
